About the Author
Having grown up in Cork during the 1980's, I consider myself lucky to have experienced the last years of romantic Ireland before the Celtic Tiger years. I have always been inspired by the landscape, the historical sites, and the local folklore of the South and Southwest of Ireland. These influences, together with my fascination with the supernatural are the main creative forces behind my stories.
Other influences include writers such as H.P. Lovecraft, M.R. James, Nathaniel Hawthorne and of course, Ireland's own Sheridan Le Fanu. Combining these influences with modern writers from Stephen King to Peter Straub and Conor MacPherson, I have attempted to recreate the haunted hills, high roads and ruins of County Cork and beyond. Please join me in keeping an ancient tradition alive and continuing it in the modern world.
